    Web Hosting

If you have read my income reports, you already know that I personally use HostGator.

    Some of their features include:

              • 45-day money back guarantee
              • 24/7 support
              • Free site migration (helpful if you already have an established blog you want to switch over)
              • A variety of payment options

You can purchase hosting through HostGator for as little as $5.95/month for 36 months, $6.96/month for 24 months, or $7.95/month for 12 months. However, if you prefer to pay on a month to month basis rather than an upfront fee for 1-3 years, they also offer a month to month plan for $14.95/month.

This is a great option for those strapped for cash or with commitment issues. ?

Keep in mind if you do decide to go with this plan you will also need to purchase a domain, which you can do through HostGator for $15.

If you do decide to purchase a domain and hosting through HostGator, use promo code TDCJ25OFF to get 25% off your entire order! You’re welcome?

To get the best deal, BlueHost offers their lowest price package for 36 months at $3.95/month. You also have the option of 24 months for $4.95/month, or 12 months for $5.45/month. BlueHost does not offer a trial period or a month to month payment option, which can be difficult for someone who is REALLY strapped for cash when starting their blog.

The cost for hosting is $3.95 per month paid upfront for 12, 24, or 36 months. They do also offer a 1 month trial period, which can be good for someone unsure of their commitment level. You do also have to purchase a domain if you go through SiteGround for $14.99.

Email Marketing

I personally use ConvertKit and LOVE it! It is super easy to use and as a new blogger is pretty affordable. It cost $29.99/month for up to 1,000 email subscribers. Their motto is “build by bloggers for bloggers,” which is evident in their features. Some of the cool features you can put on your blog using ConvertKit?

  • Easy to embed email opt-in forms
  • Automation workflows
  • Exit intent pop-ups
  • Reporting with trackable data
  • Personalized sequences

Want to send out a broadcast email to people on your list that signed up for a specific opt-in? DONE! Want to put together a free email course?DONE! Want to resend your last email to those subscribers that didn’t open your last email? DONE! Want a landing page for your newest freebie? DONE!

ConvertKit has all the power of the more expensive email automation systems for a fraction of the price and simplicity for both new and experienced bloggers. Don’t miss the opportunity to build that invaluable email list!

TRY CONVERTKIT

Don’t have the funds to start out with ConvertKit right away? Check out MailChimp. They offer a freemium version for up to 2,000 subscribers. The free version allows you to put together automations and campaigns to gain new subscribers. Check it out and see if it’s right for you!

Social Media Automation

If you have followed my income reports you already know that my blog traffic desperately depends on using Tailwind to schedule out my Pinterest! I am a HUGE advocate for automating my processed and using Tailwind save me a TON of time in my marketing efforts. Also another affordable expense for a new blogger at $14.99/month or $199/year. They also offer a freemium version of 100 pins per month, however, I generally have about 80-100 pins per day scheduled, so I bypassed the free version real quick! However, if you combine the free version of Tailwind and BoardBooster with manual pinning you can bootstrap it ?.

*Tailwind isn’t just a Pinterest scheduling tool, you can also schedule your Instagram grid!*

TRY TAILWIND

Another great automation tool! BoardBooster can do some cool things that Tailwind can not. For example, when you have a board that has a TON of pins, you can set BoardBooster to “loop” them. You can also set campaigns to source pins from a certain board and pin them to another-which I tend to use for group boards. They also offer freemium and paid version. You can get BoardBooster for free up to 500 pins per month, which again seems like a lot but you would be surprised at how quickly that can add up! However, even their paid version are pretty reasonable-1,000 pins per month is only $10. I maximize my Pinterest reach by using both of these!

TRY BOARDBOOSTER

Need scheduling automation for apps other than Pinterest and Instagram? Check out HootSuite! They integrate with over 250 different apps. They also offer freemium and paid versions. The free version is good for 1 user, 3 social profiles, and 30 schedule messages. Need a little more? Their lowest paid version, at $19.99/month, offers 10 social profiles, unlimited scheduling for 1 user (and a 30-day free trial!)

Creative Elements

I LOVE Canva, I use it for all my graphics! There is a free version and a paid version for $12.95/month or $120/year. The paid version allows you to organize all your designs into folders, keep your brand colors and upload fonts. It’s also super easy to use and has lots of templates and free stock image available. You can test out the paid version of “Canva for Work” for 30-day.

TRY CANVA

https://www.picmonkey.com/

PicMonkey is similar to Canva with freemium and paid versions. You can edit photos, create collages, touch up photos, and use different design elements. The cool thing about PicMonkey is they have an app where you can edit photos directly on your phone when you’re on the go. Not sure how to get started editing your photos with PicMonkey? They also offer a library of tutorials to help you get started rocking your photo editing skills!
